About the President

My name is Kenesha Traynham-Cooper, the Founder and President of 4FG.

The idea of 4 Future Generations came to me when my daughter was 3 years old in daycare. Her teacher called me and said, “Kenesha, this is definitely your daughter! Amira-Dior was writing on pieces of paper and she cut them into little squares and started giving the pieces of paper out to all of the other students in the class. We asked her what she was doing and do you know what she said? She said she was giving out business cards!” I first laughed, but then again I was also a proud Mommy and was grateful that while I was learning about business, she was also shadowing me in every move I made. This was also when I realized that children are sponges and if I could teach her then I could teach other children as well. I decided to start teaching her friends first.

I am one who went to school and obtained my degrees as I was told in hopes that this would secure a job in the marketplace but I was not prepared for the recession or unemployment. I decided to teach my daughter and other children who are not the future, but the NOW, how to prepare themselves for a recession or unemployment in the future. My prayers are that the future generations that come do not end up where I began. Even though the children that we service are at most 12 years old, we must train them now to know what they truly want to do so that when they are grown, they are not working to live but working to fulfill their true purpose and destiny.
